Pizzeria Uno is worth exactly ONE visit. The pizza is not bad, but the wait is horrible and the place is dark and dank. The food is nothing special, other than the fact that this is the place that first served what is now known as Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. Clue to the out-of-towners: People in Chicago don't eat this stuff! Deep Dish is a concoction designed for tourists. Ask around when you go here (and I did say it is worth a visit) and you won't find a single solitary soul from Chicago. That doesn't make it bad, of course, but I think you should know what you are getting into. Don Kosin Chevy Chase, Maryland Former Chicago (area) Resident
